DBA

We are seeking a DBA to join our client who captivates audiences with beautifully produced, highly immersive social games.

The position requires maintaining high availability database production servers, as well as working closely with development teams to review and prepare database scripts for deployment between different environments.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as both applicative and system DBA in Linux/MySQL environment
• Expert level on Mysql Database Administration.
• Expert level of skill sets in automating Installation, Online Backup, Monitoring, High
• Availability, Disaster Recovery, Point-in- time-recovery, Failover within secs.
• Expertise in Performance tuning, SQL Tuning, Migrating, database layout, Upgrading of databases to latest versions.
• Expertise in SQL within complex queries and procedures
• Experience in preparing and deploying database scripts to different environments
• Experience with Dev Ops methodology and tools.
• Knowledge on Mysql Cluster solutions.
• Knowledge of Linux based operating systems.
• Knowledge of Non-SQL databases – advantage
• Good English Skills (ability to communicate, orally and in writing).
• Good communication skills and service oriented

Responsibilities:

• Implementation, preparation and administration of production, Dev and Stage Databases.
• Cluster Maintenance including administration, monitoring, version deployment and troubleshooting.
• Monitor server performance, identify errant queries, suggest improvements.
• Working with development teams to review and prepare required deployment scripts
• Working with development teams to design proper database solutions and support their needs in complex SQL chores
• Write scripts to automate administrative tasks.
• Provide analysis of queries and stored procedures as necessary.
• Provide consistent DB maintenance, optimization and best practices.
• Capacity planning on DB storage and CPU/memory requirements.
• Working with Dev team as well as network engineers for optimization procedures.
