Our client, a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Senior Automation Test Engineer into the Innovation team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about joining a new Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.
Summary and Scope:
As a Senior Automation Test Engineer you will be an integral part of the development team and help ensure that the products we deliver are of utmost quality. You will be intimately familiar with the business value of the company´s offerings and verify that the intended business value is delivered with each user story. You will be involved with the development process from the inception of the user story so that you can create the appropriate test plan with an approach that has the right amount of exploratory, regression, and automated testing in place.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to create new and follow existing test cases
- Defect tracking and verification
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Write clear and concise test scenarios and test scripts
- Write clear and concise defects and validate defect fixes across multiple environments
- Responsible for specifying, gathering and managing the required test data
- Work with developers (software/system) to understand implementation and to resolve, work through, explain any anomalies
- Support software releases, assist in defect identification and take corrective action, escalating as needed
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- Create automated tests to streamline repetitive manual testing efforts
- Have a high standard of quality
- Ability to mentor junior test engineers
Requirements:
- Test case generation
- Familiarity with SQL language
- Familiarity with JIRA or a similar issue tracking software
- Web browser testing
- Back-end / database testing
- Familiarity with testing automation or willingness to learn it
- Java, Python or other object-oriented language
- Selenium, QTP (or similar)
- Experience with the implementation of test automation frameworks
- Experience developing test automation processes
- Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Experience integrating automation project into a CI development lifecycle
- Experience setting up automation to execute Regression/Smoke Test Suite on a Virtual Machine
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings with Development team Team (US-BA)
- Provide coaching to the rest of the QA team to help maintain and update tests
- Previous programming experience C# background preferable but willing to learn if not applicable
