This position requires expert knowledge of email development best practices for optimal delivery and performance across all major email clients, devices, and domains. This role will be instrumental in helping the clients reach their business goals via Lead nurturing, inbound marketing, drip programs, content strategy and landing page optimization to drive consumer engagement and retention.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, IT, communications or related field required
  • Functional and technical understanding of email service providers and marketing automation platforms
  • 2-4 years digital marketing experience with demonstrated success in email marketing and marketing automation from strategy to execution and ongoing management
  • Email and marketing automation set up experience with a proven track record
  • Hands-on Experience with Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint required and experience with web analytics (Google or Adobe Analytics), and A/B testing tools (Optimizely, Target etc.) a plus
  • Experience developing and implementing data integration strategies for CRM and marketing automation a plus
  • Marketing Automation and Email platform certifications a huge plus
  • Basic HTML/CSS and responsive design knowledge/experience a huge plus
  • Prior email campaign management and experience with email service providers a huge plus
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, testing, and analysis
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, prioritize work, analyze interdependencies and deliver against deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal and client stakeholders to build, manage and maintain email/marketing automation programs focused on actionable communication to prospects and customers.
  • Manage all aspects of email and marketing automation campaigns, including planning and programming, creative development, data syncs and segmentation, and reporting & analysis.
  • Collaborate with client and the teams to develop lead scoring models, automation rules and complex drip, nurture, and engagement campaigns.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools to develop transactional, promotional, and informational content strategies that maximize customer retention, win-back, cross-sell and up-sell programs.
  • Analyze performance data (key traffic and revenue metrics including CTR, open rates, incremental revenue, etc.) and drive insights and optimizations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop training materials to educate the team and clients, if necessary.
  • Participate with platform and program audits geared to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead activities focused on integration of CRM, Email and Marketing Automation platforms.
  • Understand the customer experience and execute against communication strategy.
  • QA and approve email campaigns and campaign landing pages.
  • Contribute towards process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in delivery of email marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in meetings with prospective clients as a subject matter expert and helping to build out the scope of work for proposals.
