We're looking for a SysAdmin - SRO to join the team Operations of our client.

You will be responsible for helping the team in keeping our customers’ applications running at peak performance. Not only will you be the first point of contact to external world-wide customers but you will be helping to identify, analyze and resolve first-tier technical issues on platforms with 500+ Servers. You will be helping modify and improve our monitoring infrastructure which has +9000 metrics and +6000 graphs which are generated every minute from a very diverse environment. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced English (writing and speaking skills) is required to communicate with technical teams and customers.
  • Advanced Linux skills and troubleshooting experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to diagnose and correlate performance bottlenecks, network issues, failure patterns. Being able to identify and correlate issues among different services.
  • Hands on experience with monitoring tools like Sensu or Zenoss.
  • Hands on experience with monitoring graphing tools like Grafana or Cacti.
  • Proficiency in scripting on Bash, Python or Perl.
  • Experience on Tomcat or Apache or Nginx, etc.
  • An understanding of networking; DNS, routing, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team work skills.
  • Willingness to learn from others and share knowledge within teammates.
  • Availability to travel between one or three months to Las Vegas or San Francisco.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or understanding of infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Terraform, Ansible or Salt.
  • Has experience in off-premise cloud-based infrastructure, in particular Azure
  • Has experience in on-premise infrastructure management.
  • Hands on experience with Docker.
  • English Certifications.
  • Has the ability to rapidly self-educate on new concepts and tools as also being actively searching for increase self-knowledge.
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Jira or Remedy for example.
  • U.S. Visa or European Passport.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Monitor specific metrics for availability, latency and overall system health.
  • Development and implementation of new IT infrastructure monitoring.
  • Continuously refine monitoring processes, thresholds, and configuration.
  • Create and maintain documentation on installations, incidents, and procedures

 

Working hours: Afternoon - 13 a 22 hs
