DevOps Manager

We are looking for a Manager DevOps. You will work closely with our product development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide ideas and solutions to infrastructure challenges. You will also be an integral part of continually improving our infrastructure architecture as the industry standards and best practices continue to evolve. In the spirit of the core principles of DevOps you will be automating as much of your work as possible and appropriate.

Requirements:

• Lead, mentor and directly manage a team of DevOps Engineers
• Work closely with the Engineering teams to improve operational efficiency and maintain Development/QA/Production software development environments
• Recommend, scope, plan and lead the implementation of infrastructure and DevOps process improvements
• Own release management and related processes to ensure seamless and effective software releases for Connex and a stable production environment
• Create and update appropriate security policies as it pertains to infrastructure; provide feedback and guidance on data security measures and policies at Rise
• Automate/script/document work in an effort to be more efficient
• Triage production issues and address them in a sustainable way
• Provide Tier 2 support to Corporate IT Services team pertaining to corporate infrastructure
• Ensure stakeholders are informed of relevant initiative status
• Manage and report on Infrastructure cost consumption and identify cost containment opportunities
• Manage software licensing and vendor relationships that pertain to Connex platform technologies and infrastructure
• Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in infrastructure management and automation

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field
• 7+ years of on-the-job experience
• Cloud Computing infrastructure (AWS, Azure or similar)
• Networking concepts: switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls, load-balancers
• Operating System administration (Windows Server/Linux)
• Security Update and Patch management
• Configuration Management practices and principals
• Logging, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure
• Relational and nonrelational database administration
• Networking security protocols and concepts
• Automation methodology and scripting principals
• Software development process best practices
