Manager Test Engineering

Our Client is a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Manager, Test Engineering into the Innovation team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about joining a new Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Strong English communication skills are required
• 7+ years of relevant QA experience
• 1+ years of experience working with large amounts of data
• 1+ years of implementing and using test automation harnesses
• Experience leading and mentoring a team of 3+ test engineers
• Strong SQL skills
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
• Deep knowledge of internet technologies
• Understanding of Agile SDLC
• Passion for Testing and Software Development
• Coding skills and experience in one or more Object Oriented programming languages: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript.

Responsibilities:

• Manage manual and automated testing efforts of the QA staff
• Defect tracking, verification and reporting
• Responsible for specifying, gathering and managing the required test data
• Possess deep knowledge of each product to identify potential gaps in testing strategy
• Formulate test automation strategy appropriate to each product’s architecture
• Conceptualize, design, and implement test automation infrastructure
• Set quality standards across all tiers of the application development stack
• Oversee the quality of tests written by both QA and Dev teams
• Certify the integrity of the code promoted to production environments
• Lead and mentor QA team members
• Promote proper engineering practice: bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products
• Work with developers (software/system) to understand implementation and to resolve, work through, explain any anomalies
• Support software releases, assist in defect identification and take corrective action, escalating as needed
• Project management skills
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

English level: Upper intermediate or higher level.
