SR QA Engineer

The company that has created the world's first smart connected luggage, is looking to hire a SR QA Engineer, based in Buenos Aires.

This is a unique opportunity to join as an early team member a high-potential Silicon Valley startup playing on a global arena and pushing the boundaries of hardware plus software technologies. The company is now opening a new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where it plans to build a special team with the most talented engineers, testers and designers in the country. This team will work directly with the San Francisco team on the design and development of cutting-edge technologies and products that will touch the lives of thousands of travelers worldwide. Team members will travel often between Buenos Aires and San Francisco.

Responsibilities

As SR QA Engineer, you will be the one opening the Testing Area, and in consequence you'll define and implement the testing strategies and plans. You may also be responsible for the Testing team, so you'll have to be able to manage and coach people.

• Work as part of a team, interacting with the Software Development Team
• Implement creative solutions to testing challenges
• Implement exploratory tests on new functionalities, in both web/mobile apps and in the hardware product
• Performance testing
• Black box, white box and grey box tests implementation
• Define and execute test cases
• Defining and implement automation testing

Skills and Experience

• 4+ years experience testing world-class web and mobile applications
• Advanced knowledge of testing APIs
• Experience in design and execution of test cases
• Background in Quality Assurance methodology and management of all aspects of testing including regression, functional and performance testing
• Advanced knowledge of test management and defect coordination tools: Rational RequisitePro, HP/Mercury TestDirector/Quality Center, Rational Quality Manager, Rational ClearQuest, etc.
• Advanced management of Automation Tools such as Selenium
• Experience in both functional / black-box testing
• Must be meticulous and detail-oriented 
• Leadership and communication skills
• CS Degree or similar education
• Scaling startup experience a plus
• Experience working with international companies a plus
• Advanced level of English
• US visitor visa (nice to have)
