PHP Developer with DevOps experience

XIMPLEHR is looking for a PHP Developer with DevOps experience to join our client's team, a software testing company.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes deploying PHP web applications. 
• Should be able to speak at length about specific challenges they have solved with Kubernetes and PHP applications. 
• Familiarity with Datadog a plus 
• Docker 
• Advanced Linux 
• Advanced English 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and maintenance of PHP based applications utilizing both older PHP 5.6 and newer PHP 8 codebases. 
• Assist with modernizing the PHP 5.6 code base to work toward upgrading it to PHP 8 
• Develop performance monitoring to measure the performance of our PHP application in our Kubernetes cluster 
• Develop plans for improving performance of the PHP application within the Kubernetes cluster Develop plans for scaling the application within the Kubernetes cluster 
• The candidate needs to have a deep understanding of what things can impact performance of PHP applications in Kubernetes and know how to tune those settings to optimize performance.
