XimpleHR is partnering with Room 8 Studio, a globally recognized game development studio, to hire a highly skilled and experienced Realistic 3D Characters Artist Project Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an international team working on high-end game productions.
The ideal candidate is a leader who can maintain high standards of quality and style, with knowledge of the technical and artistic constraints of the character creation process.

The Role

Our client is looking for a proficient and experienced Project Lead who specializes in photorealistic character creation and has a strong background in game development.
This role will lead projects focused on realistic 3D character direction, ensuring both visual excellence and production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High-poly sculpt in Zbrush;Character topology for animation;
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy;
  • Experience in working with hard surface;
  • Ability to create UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Experience working as a Project Lead;
  • High standards of work quality and artistic taste;
  • Good at an objective evaluation of the team’s work and giving constructive feedback;
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments;
  • Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with game engines.
  • Experience creating creatures.
  • Solid understanding of the rigging and animation

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects focused on realistic 3D character direction;
  • Execute quality control for the work produced by the team of artists;
  • Assist in solving artistic and technical problems within the project team;
  • Organize the work of the team within the project and specific tasks;
  • Create technical specifications and guides;
  • Create high-poly and low-poly models of photorealistic characters for games on given concepts;
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Work with texturing in Substance Painter (hand-paint texturing in case the project requirements).


Location: Remoto

Time shift: Full time Availability to overlap with the team for at least 5 working hours per day in the EET time
